In the lift pit there are; cabin, counterweight (if there is), cylinder piston system, suspension device and buffers.
Hydraulic lifts are the systems which the ability of drive is provided by hydraulic pump unit. Hydraulic elevator systems lift a car using a hydraulic ram, a fluid-driven piston mounted inside a cylinder. The pump forces fluid from the tank into a pipe leading to the cylinder. Downward movement actualizes with the car own weight. In general machine room is located in the ground floor. In machine room there is a oil tank (fluid reservoir) and hydraulic system on this tank, control panel and pipes. In the lift pit there are; cabin, counterweight (if there is), cylinder piston system, suspension device and buffers.
Hydraulic lifts are suitable to carry passenger and load. Hydraulic lifts, can work with 0.125 m/s to 1 m/s for 2 to 6 floors height. Usually hydraulic lifts work with 0.75 m/s speed. Single cylinder hydraulic lift can carry 1000 to 10000 kgs. and double cyclinder can carry 10000 to 90000 kgs.
